Saving Face

Painting and Photography

How is it possible to bring these two elements together with out loosing the quality of the photograph and do I need to even combine them.

First and foremost now that my creative attention is no longer on tattooing I can focus on my personal exploration with art. I don’t have to be confined to influence, rules; perfection and popularity. I could piss on a canvas if I wanted to and even light it on fire (although here in a Joshua Tree that wouldn’t be the best for our dry climate)

Second, what is my voice in art, do I Ave to anounce it before I speak or is the act of creating the self discovery of its meaning?  Time will tell, but with this new job security the only thing standing in my way is the space I need to make art without interruption. My father still lives with me and it’s beyond taxing trying to deal with his lack of social norms and moody scoffs as his feet drag across the floor.

Rant ended

eyes to the sky, a nod to Hannah Wilkie and a notion of searching.
