Digital Art

I should have taken the time to file for a prequisite form, ignored the counselor and skipped this intro class. However it is refreshing to not have the pressure of classes such mathematical statistics or astronomy weighing down my time and I’m sure my perfect 4.0 won’t be budged this semester. I could use this time to work more on my portfolio for my goals of transfering to Cal Arts, my private photography project and do more research on how to get more grants and funds for next fall.

I do love digital art, I find it very useful, but I miss more challenging  projects and haven’t discovered  much use out of apps like spark or art transfer. Honestly, when I did work as a creative director I was surprised to know how many people didn’t know how to share files, store digital information, file types and even understand simple navigation in mail service like Microsoft.  I think for a person to understand digital art they need to understand the daily uses in a job market in order to allow more creative works to become relevant. I updated Behance a bit, although I rather focus on my new Zenfolio website site, select images I actually want to show, rework the client galleries, set a meeting to address SEO and get the DNS updated. I also need to get my new merch out and activate Etsy again for my prints.

Digital Doodle.
I am getting used to my new tablet and photoshops 2021 updates as my Wacom finally bit the dust. I bought a Huion tablet at a modest $150 and I have to say I’m pretty impressed and might not bother with Wacom again! This means no digital art this week though, as I had to stretch canvases and clean out the studio.
How about a bit of a flash back to some glitch/photography and double exposure instead.

Note worthy

  • Old digital hardware and relics as museumPieces displayed online by a process simpler to google maps at the National Museum of Computing is actually fascinating.  As humans we have so much technology widely available to us that we very well may take it for granite. Exapecially with how he wily we have relied on it during this global pandemic.
  • What’s next in digital art. Is it possible that Adobe will one day be obsolete?
  • Is digital art made by a program actually art or just a command.
