Another busy week of work and I’m glad college is almost done for this semester. Honestly I don’t have any idea of what to write about for the week....
Watched a couple documentaries on feminism and a great series on the segregation history in america. Applied for a internship at a museum even though I am way over qualified and it’s below my pay grade, last time I applied for a job like that I got offered a better one so who knows what could come of it. Not that I need a new job, just sounded right up my alley.
Ordered prints, planed a mini video and I’ve started my thesis on the lack of inclusion surrounding women in photography. Not surprisingly, 90percent of the major magazines still pretty much only use male photographers. Ridiculous.
Tried to paint this week and for nowhere, it I did do a new image just for fun (and as a slight nod to Hanna Wilkie) and got my canvases all stretched. For the rest of the canvases I may consider sewing the edges of the burlap and pre soaking them in a water and clear gesso mix to make it more workable.
Mom still thinks my photos are “so dark” lol
